I dug up a spot of grass and put it in a pot this past fall so my cat, Sally, could munch on it throughout the winter. Well, it only lasted a month or so and died out. But then up popped a self-seeded marigold which as been doing great all winter producing bloom after bloom. Day 8 of the painting challenge. We start a new week, another 7 days of painting. I grow sunflowers every summer for the birds and squirrels. Once the seed-heads start to form there are always birds bobbing up and down snacking on the free sunflower seeds. Look there is one now!
