This past summer I had too gorgeous pots of cactus zinnias. I planted them from seed and they grew to 3-4 feet tall in pots that honestly were not large enough for them. I had to brace these pots between heavier ones just to keep the zinnias upright. But they did have such beautiful flowers. This is one of my new indoor/outdoor paintings. Birds, butterflies, moths and bees all love zinnias. These wondrous flowers come in all sizes, but I tend to favor the large ones. Next year I plan to start them inside growing them from seed. This past year I planted the seed in pots in the late spring. They did sprout and have grown tall and sturdy. They are flowering now and I am amazed at their beauty and their size.
