This is day 23 of the painting challenge. Today's painting features one of those dark velvet red sunflowers. I grow this type every year in my front flower bed. They are wonderful. Day 5 of the painting challenge. I chose to paint this cat today because of the floral print on chair she was sitting on. She has so much fur and texture and then there was the floral design behind her to keep your eye moving. I painted Willow  mainly with painting knives which gave her fur all that texture. Pallet Knives

Pallet Knives

I was in Denver yesterday making a supply run and shopping trip, and having lunch with a dear friend. While shopping for art supplies, I saw 2 pallet knives I wanted to add to my collection. I paint a lot with pallet knives. My favorite old standby painting knife is on the left-hand size of this photo. My newest painting knives are the two on the right-hand side of this photo. I can hardly wait to experiment with them.
