I was in Denver yesterday making a supply run and shopping trip, and having lunch with a dear friend. While shopping for art supplies, I saw 2 pallet knives I wanted to add to my collection. I paint a lot with pallet knives. My favorite old standby painting knife is on the left-hand size of this photo. My newest painting knives are the two on the right-hand side of this photo. I can hardly wait to experiment with them.

Finished this painting today. You can see the beginning steps below in the previous blog posting. The main focus of this painting was the yarrow plant in full bloom.. and then a little mouse slipped into the back left-hand side of the painting. I really think he is cute, and you hardly see him unless your are looking for him. This paining is for sale $325.00 and includes free shipping in the Continental USA.

This is a very thickly painted piece that I painted mainly with a pallet knife. It started off as a still life, but since one of the apples was needed for lunch, I took a quick photo and continued to paint, munching on my apple. I don't think I am meant to be a still life painter. Anyway, the 3 apples and 3 garlic cloves made a nice composition.
