Self-Seeded Marigold

I dug up a spot of grass and put it in a pot this past fall so my cat, Sally, could munch on it throughout the winter. Well, it only lasted a month or so and died out. But then up popped a self-seeded marigold which as been doing great all winter producing bloom after bloom.
