Dancing Booby

Arcylic (outdoor painting)

16x20

I was drawn to those dancing blue footed boobies again today. Their coloring is so wonderful. They look so serious with their facial expressions and yet, they act kind of goofy and certainly look a bit weird. This is another painting in the Outdoor Series. Visit my website for more details. Blue Footed Booby

original acrylic painting

5x7 greeting card

Today's card was really fun to paint. Every since I saw a photo of these birds, I just couldn't believe they were real. How amazing! How comical! They have bright blue feet! And they like to dance, how delightful. Anyway, who could resist such a happy scene! Visit my website to purchase any of my recent paintings and cards: SpohnStudio.com

Susan Spohn

A Colorado artist, Susan presently resides in the small town of Salida, Colorado, located in the Arkansas Valley surrounded by mountains and valleys, rivers, forests, deer, geese, lakes, and tourists. Residing in an old brick building in the historic district, she has a small, porch-like enclosed studio on the second floor, overlooking the back alleys near downtown. Spohn participates in outdoor art shows, even though she is often times blown by the wind, saturated in rain, or sun-burnt, she still feels this is a wonderful way to connect with potential customers. Susan is a self-taught artist, who experimented with several mediums before falling in love with oil painting. She has been selling her art at various art shows, shops and galleries since 1989.
