This painting was inspired by a friend of mine in France. How do you paint the mystery and magic of a wolf? I was intrigued by the European black wolves. I added the butterflies to soften the image and leave a trace of stories to be told. I will be explaining more about this painting in an upcoming posting. Stay tuned.
I love the mix of the butterflies! I know someone who would love this painting!

DeleteI'm enjoying the look on Ysengrin's face...What is he thinking? Does he want to be like one of the butterflies? Is he yearning for some far away place or some kind of connection with another?
ReplyDeleteahhhhhhh, thank you Karen! This painting seemed to almost paint itself... a good story in the making. It is a wonderful prize for the Treasure Hunt.
