Brady's Bouquet

Brady's Bouquet

18 x 17.5

oil

A joyful bouquet painting inspired by my recent purchase of a hanging basket of summer flowers from Brady's Nursery here in Salida.  This is a colorful painting filled with lots of movement. This photo was taken with a flash, actual colors are a bit deeper. Visit my website to purchase. SpohnStudio.com

Memorial Day Flowers

Memorial Day Flowers

6x6 oil

I had to touch up a larger painting in the studio and then used the rest of the paint to create this small floral. It is Memorial Day, nice a quiet, a good end to the holiday. This painting is for sale, visit my website to purchase.  SpohnStudio.com

First Outdoor Art Show of the Season

Here I am, tired from setting up the booth and hanging my paintings, but still smiling. My first show of the season went pretty well. Attendance for the show was minimal but those who came to the show loved bunnies and flowers. So I was in my element. Below is a photo of some of my paintings, 2 of those paintings sold at the show.

Now I will be in the studio painting everyday to replace some of these large pieces in my booth. My next art show will soon be here.

Down the Rabbit Hole

Down the Rabbit Hole

Original Oil Painting

18 x 30 inches

I started this painting a while back and had to put it aside when I started the painting challenge in January.  It is a fun piece with a lot going on... it is almost Easter now so maybe waiting to finish this painting in April was the right thing to do.

This painting will be for sale at the Valley Visions Art show coming up May 2nd at the Steamplant Annex. More information on this show will be posted later. Check out my website to view more of my paintings. SpohnStudio.com

Sunflower Garden- diptych

Sunflower Garden - diptych

18 x 36 each piece, (36 x 36 total)

Original Oil Painting

Now you will be able to find those previous 'hints'. I think this painting is now finished. I will look at it again with fresh eyes in the morning. Sunflowers self-seed themselves in my front garden and when all the flowers are in bloom, it is really a happy site. There are always birds, butterflies, squirrels and cats in this garden.  Do you have any comments?
