This wonderful painting was inspired by a photo of Jacob's Ladder,a perennial that is planted in a lot of gardens in these parts. If properly cared for, the flower heads are large and lush and last a long time. I like the bright pinky-red heads of the Jacob's Ladder along with the contrast of the yellow grasses with the blue saliva's in the background.
