I stated this painting a couple weeks ago, but had to put it aside to finish some other paintings. The cat is painted with painting knives and originally, I thought I might complete the entire painting using knives. But today is another day and most of the remainder of this painting was painted with brushes. Pink Petunias

Late this afternoon the winds really started blowing. Most of the items on my rooftop deck went flying and I was scrambling to gather them back together again. One pot of petunias was still in full bloom despite all the cold nights so I brought it indoors into my studio and painted some of the blooms...a final remembrance of this past summer
