Fleur-de-lis Bouquet

 Fleur-de-lis Bouquet

30 x 30  Oil

I have been working on this painting for a while. It was drawn out and ready to paint and then life got in the way... then I started painting it and had to stop and get ready for my art show in Tubac, AZ. Now, finally I have had some time to finish this painting.  Hope you like it! I do. Visit my website to purchase and view my other paintings.  SpohnStudio.com

After the painting started to dry, the background seemed to dry to darkly and after reconsidering my color choices I changed the background color. Here is the newly completed painting below.

A reference painting for this new one is below, Watching Spiders- B This photo has been enhanced a bit for some prints, so colors are a bit more vibrant.

Aspens- Ridgetop

Aspens- Ridgetop

22 x 7, oil

The lovely white tree trunks of an aspen always seem to steal the show. Even in this painting, with fall colors in their leaves and in the ground cover, the white barks in the sunlight are memorizing. View more of my paintings on my website- SpohnStudio.com

Pink Cosmos

Pink Cosmos, 6x6, oil

Waiting on some white oil paint so I can continue with my large painting, so I painted a small 6x6 inch painting instead. I like the joyful mix of colors as the pink cosmos dance about. The Lily Garden Yesterday

The Lily Garden Yesterday

18x 30 inches, oil

I decided to enhance an older painting of mine. I have always liked the Lily Garden, but felt it was missing something. So I added a few things.

This flower garden has a lot going on. At first your eye will just be drawn to the flowers, and then the butterfly, and then the rabbit and last, the turtle. I wonder what they are talking about... Certainly more to this scene than we first imagine. Do you see the ladybugs? or the caterpillar? Visit my website to purchase this painting.  SpohnStudio.com

Another colorful painting, bright and cheery that I hope will speed springtime our way... but of course we will probably have another 3 months of snow and cold.

These new indoor/outdoor paintings make an interesting pop of color indoors, or they can be placed in a sheltered area outdoors. Visit my other website for more information and to view other paintings in this series. SusanMSpohn.com

Card Breath of Spring

Breath of Spring

original acrylic painting

5x7 greeting card

This morning the sun shone brightly, I moved all my seedlings out onto the roof top deck, the sun felt so good on my face as I sat there petting the cats... Then by afternoon the clouds had returned along with some wind and it looked once again like winter could make a return visit. This painting is how I felt this morning, when the sun was warm and it seemed spring had returned. Visit my website to view more paintings or to purchase.  SpohnStudio.com
